First Friday Art Walk – August 2020

Diane Wurzer

Diane is a photographer specializing in outdoor, natural subjects—although she has recently included a few people in her photographic art. She works her magic to reflect her view of the world. The result is something like you’ve never seen…hence the term “photographic art”. She envisions things differently and hopes you will enjoy her “Photography with a twist”.

Susan Poitevin

Susan finds endless inspiration in the scenic Flint Hills of northeast Kansas. She is constantly awestruck beneath the vast sky dome with spectacular cloud formations that beg to be painted. The enchanting and changing colors of the tall prairie grasses and the meandering creeks and marshy banks of the Kaw River…all providing ideal subjects to paint her own personal version of the surrounding beauty. Susan believes to be a painter of landscapes in Kansas is truly a sublime calling.

Timothy R Bauer

Color is so essential to Timothy; always drawn to the colors of the landscape, or sky and reflected shadows. By grinding pebbles, shells, etc. and blending them into his paint, Timothy produces an actual pigment for each landscape or portrait he paints, creating a real, tangible link to the environment that enchanted him to it in the first place. As an artist, he transports color, allowing the viewer to escape from the mundane, helping them look at the usual and see the unusual. Timothy is not just painting a place, he is painting “the” place by bringing the actual environment into the painting, and hopefully into a collectors’ home.

Ryan Ogle

Ryan first picked up a camera 10 years ago while freelancing as a music journalist and has not put it down since. He has an eccentric eye for detail, imagination, experimentation, and, above all, passion for photography. Ryan boasts a diverse collection of work, ranging from surreal landscapes, wildlife & nature, street photography, and reality-bending digital manipulations.
