Upcoming First Friday Art Walk Exhibits

The First Friday Art Walk is our 'Opening Reception' for each new monthly exhibit at NexLynx Gallery of Arts. The First Friday Art Walk, a program of Topeka ArtsConnect, exhibits local artists’ work at various art galleries, restaurants, corporate offices, and retail stores.

A regular stop in the heart of downtown Topeka since 2010, NexLynx Gallery of Arts is the “must see” gallery on the First Friday Art Walk, located on the corner of 6th & Jackson. Celebrating our 75th consecutive First Friday Art Walk in 2017, we are dedicated to showcase emerging and established artists in our respected gallery every First Friday Art Walk.

Consisting of images taken from his travels to Great Britain, Iceland, near his home, right outside his front door, and from every season. He hopes for people to see his love of creation and perhaps be moved to look at the world around them with a new eye. Jump into spring and get into the Irish Spirit as we are serving Irish themed and “greenish” snacks and drinks.

NexLynx Gallery showcases the works of talented young visual art students from Washburn Rural High School, displaying a variety of mediums including acrylics, oils, printmaking, and weavings. Many of the pieces on display were created during the school’s recent Art Lock In event, where students got to meet a professional artist and created a piece of artwork using the guest artist’s techniques.
