Boyd, a librarian and writer in the Kansas City area, will be reciting his poetry throughout the evening. He has published in various journals and anthologies and has released two books of poetry.

Marie Plinsky got a late start in the art world, developing her artistic talents from more than 30 years’ as a hairdresser, only the canvas changed. Starting with watercolor, she has enjoyed using other medias; charcoal, oil, acrylic and decorating gourds. Her newest artwork of mixed media uses acrylics, paper and fabric creating interesting textures.

NexLynx Gallery showcases the works of selected students of all ages from Cair Paravel Latin School displaying a variety of pieces in many different mediums including graphite, pastel, watercolor and mixed media. Each of the pieces are both evidence of the progression of the visual art program at Cair Paravel and the students desire to make art.

Our Re-opening Multi-Artist Reception

Celebrate our re-opening with a special group exhibit with the talented artists whose receptions were cancelled. The participating artists are Diane Wurzer, Susan Poitevin, Timothy R. Bauer, and Ryan Ogle displaying a mixture of paintings and photography as well as a couple velvet Elvis paintings from Timothy’s private collection.
