First Friday Art Walk – November 2025
Step into a world of color and imagination brought to life through the work of artist Nancy Marston. Her pieces capture both the joy of childhood wonder and the beauty of the natural world, inviting viewers to pause, smile, and reflect.
Nancy is a proud Topeka native who has embraced many roles throughout her life—wife, mother, grandmother, registered nurse, business owner, and artist. Her journey into the art world began with a mural at her church, where she was first called an “artist,” a title that left a lasting impression. From there, her creativity found a new path when face painting opportunities “landed in her lap,” leading to the creation of Aunt Nancy’s Face Art nearly 14 years ago.
Through face painting, Nancy built strong ties with local businesses and was soon painting murals on large windows across the community. These projects opened the door to commissioned pieces for private individuals, further expanding her artistic reach. Today, she often paints on repurposed window frames, giving new life to these weathered materials while adding unique depth and character to her scenes. Inspired by her childhood memories and a deep love of nature, Nancy’s work reflects both her personal journey and her connection to the world around her.
