Devi Wilbur, an award-winning landscape and portrait artist from Niles, Kansas, paints mostly in oils on panel and drawing with pen and ink. She also works with acrylics, pastels, watercolor, pencils, and charcoal. Her 3-D artwork includes pottery and sculpting in both clay and stone.

Topeka photographer, Jessica Mays, specializes in what she calls impressionistic photography. Her often abstract and up-close view of the world shows ordinary subjects in extraordinary ways. After taking her photos to the next level with digital editing, Jessica found a whole new magical world of color, contrast, detail, and surprises. Each photo is carefully taken, then slowly edited to create a unique and intriguing piece of art.

Kristine Luber has been showing her award-winning fabric artwork in Kansas and neighboring states for the past ten years. She makes fabric collages and 3-D art such as fabric flowers, leaves and butterflies that pop right off the wall. Her artwork is even wearable and practical such as light-weight fabric jewelry, women’s shirts, dresses and artwork-upholstered chairs. No matter what kind of project Kristine is working on, her incentive to create comes from the desire to turn items that might otherwise be relegated to the landfill into something beautiful.

Irma WagerIrma creates stunning counted cross stitch pieces that takes her anywhere from 1-4 months to finish. They vary from European landscapes to animals, flowers, city streets and beautiful women.
Barbara SchillingBarbara began selling her homemade jewelry creations in 2004. Her jewelry has evolved from mostly beaded pieces and now includes intricate wire, metal and bead pieces as well as etched metal, enameled pieces and resin.

Local photographer, Jared Hitchens has a passion for Topeka that comes from a life spent in the community. He has worked in graphic arts for over 20 years, but with his lens and artistic eye, Jared has captured some of Topeka’s beautiful landmarks. Jared will be featuring his portfolio, showing his new love of photography as well as his pride for the city that he grew up in.

NexLynx Gallery showcases the works of talented young visual art students from Washburn Rural High School, displaying a variety of mediums including acrylics, oils, printmaking, and weavings. Many of the pieces on display were created during the school’s recent Art Lock In event, where students got to meet a professional artist and created a piece of artwork using the guest artist’s techniques.

Our opening reception features photographer, Charles Benton. Most of Charles’ photos have some aspect of nature as their subject. Consisting of images taken from his travels to Great Britain, Iceland, near his home, right outside his front door, and from every season. He hopes for people to see his love of creation and perhaps be moved to look at the world around them with a new eye. Jump into spring and get into the Irish Spirit as we are serving Irish themed and “greenish” snacks and drinks.
