Jordan E. Brooks, is a painter, illustrator, and Creative Consultant, influenced by a wide variety of work ranging from the classical to comic book greats from the 90’s.

Art has been part of Nancy’s life from early childhood through her adult life by drawing what she saw, fascinated with molding metal into shapes, found objects and intrigued with the texture and color of pastel, watercolor, oil and fabric. Her exhibit reflects her love of landscapes and waterscapes from Kansas to other sites throughout United States, Australia and Europe.

Featuring Doug's series, “The Water’s Edge”, painted using palette knives. Viewing from different perspectives, upstream, downstream or watching the river flow by. Palette knifes can produce rhythm and sparkle that create a sense of fresh moving water. The thick strokes of color bring a powerful brightness to his paintings.

Our opening reception features photographer, Charles Benton. Most of Charles’ photos have some aspect of nature as their subject. Consisting of images taken from his travels to Great Britain, Iceland, near his home, right outside his front door, and from every season. He hopes for people to see his love of creation and perhaps be moved to look at the world around them with a new eye. Jump into spring and get into the Irish Spirit as we are serving Irish themed and “greenish” snacks and drinks.

NexLynx Gallery showcases the works of talented young visual art students from Washburn Rural High School, displaying a variety of mediums including acrylics, oils, printmaking, and weavings. Many of the pieces on display were created during the school’s recent Art Lock In event, where students got to meet a professional artist and created a piece of artwork using the guest artist’s techniques.

Pradeep creatively constructs fine art utilizing a blend of cutting edge Laser and computer graphics. He calls this process “Lasered Layers”. The 3-D artwork consists of painstakingly assembled multiple layers of intricately laser-cut sheets of paper.

Local photographer, Jared Hitchens has a passion for Topeka that comes from a life spent in the community. He has worked in graphic arts for over 20 years, but with his lens and artistic eye, Jared has captured some of Topeka’s beautiful landmarks. Jared will be featuring his portfolio, showing his new love of photography as well as his pride for the city that he grew up in.

Irma WagerIrma creates stunning counted cross stitch pieces that takes her anywhere from 1-4 months to finish. They vary from European landscapes to animals, flowers, city streets and beautiful women.
Barbara SchillingBarbara began selling her homemade jewelry creations in 2004. Her jewelry has evolved from mostly beaded pieces and now includes intricate wire, metal and bead pieces as well as etched metal, enameled pieces and resin.
